Trader granted bail for stealing mobile phone

Mankranso (Ash), April 11, GNA- The Mankranso Magistrate Court has granted a 22-year-old trader, Akwasi Jomo, five million cedis bail for stealing a mobile phone valued at 725,000 cedis.

Jomo who pleaded guilty would re-appear on April 12. Police Chief Inspector Prosper Yao Aheto, told the court presided over by Mr Frank Owusu-Afriyie that the accused and an accomplice sold the dysfunctional mobile phone to the complainant, one Ms Janet Kankam. He said instead of replacing the phone they resold it to another person and went underground.

Chief Inspector Aheto said on March 9, Jomo was spotted and arrested at Tepa and during interrogation he admitted the offence.
