Trade Ministry commends workers

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) on Friday commended Ghanaian workers for their contributions towards nation-building as the nation marked International Labour Day.

“We consider that without Ghanaian workers, there would be no economy in Ghana. Therefore we salute all workers for their dedication and commitment to their employers, their communities and the nation at large,” the Ministry stated in a statement to mark the May Day.

The statement acknowledged the great efforts and contributions of some individual Ghanaians and institutions that have organized programmes and activities, aimed at promoting made-in-Ghana goods and services.

It encouraged all workers and institutions to contact the Steering Committee through the Ministry of Trade and Industry so that such programmes could be integrated into the main one to ensure coordinated efforts towards a common goal for the benefit of the nation.

MOTI commended the efforts by the Media and the Musicians Union of Ghana, for the various events they organised to promote made-in-Ghana goods and services.
