TPF National Media Festival 2016 to be launched on Monday

The Press Foundation, TPF, media Non-governmental Organization based in Kumasi will on Monday, 10th October, launch the maiden edition of the “TPF National Media Festival 2016”.

Under the theme; “Election 2016: The Role of the journalist”, the event seeks to champion responsible journalism ahead of the 2016 elections.

International security expert and Peace Ambassador for the 2016 elections, Irbard Ibrahim and the GOC of the Central Command of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier-General C.B Alhassan will be speakers at the launch slated for the Golden Tulip, Kumasi City Hotel at 9:30am.

Activities as part of the “TPF National Media Festival 2016” include a 3000 participant Media walk for Peace, funfair and lecture/awards night has The Royal Bank as its headline sponsor.

A statement signed by the Executive Director of TPF, Mr. Listowell Yesu Bukarson, revealed that, Irbard Ibrahim will call on the Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Harun and the Tafo Zongo Chief, Alhaji Seidu Chibsah, as well as the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, COP Nathan Kofi Boakye.
