Town Council assists school

Tanoso (B/A) Oct. 6, GNA – The Tanoso Town Council in Techiman Municipality has donated building materials worth 450,000 cedis to the Imam Seidu Local Authority Primary School.

The items were made up of two bags of cement, four pieces of plywood and a half carton of roofing nails, which are meant to help the community to rehabilitate the school building.

Making the presentation, Mr. Richard Zokpoh, secretary of the Council, urged the people to pay their revenue regularly to enable the Council to support development projects.

He admonished unit committees, Assembly Members and chiefs to help supervise in the construction of projects in their communities since they belonged to the communities and not individuals.

Mr. Emmanuel K. Obeng, chairman of the Council asked the people to remain united and urged parents to encourage their children to attend school regularly.

Mallam Seidu Manni, Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association who received the items on behalf of the school, thanked the Council for and promised to ensure that the materials would be used for the intended purpose.
