Too much wastage in government

A leading member of the National Reform Party(NRP), Dr. Nii Lante Percy, has accused government of having a lot of wastage in the system and advised them to cut down on expenditure so as to cut down the level of taxes and levies which puts a lot of burden on the ordinary Ghanaian.

He mentioned the purchase of Vehicles for ministers and the positions of spokespersons in addition to officials of the ministry of Information. He sited the senior minister who has responsibility for public sector reforms and the minister of state for public sector reforms as duplication.

He stated that it was the right of the opposition to identify areas of wastage in the system and it was the duty of the government to take up the challenge of resolving these problems, falling short of naming alternatives for the government.
