Tony Aidoo Hits Nduom; Stop the “populism and sheer adventurism”

The Head of Policy Monitoring and Evaluation at the Presidency, Tony Aidoo has questioned the integrity of the flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom.

According to Dr. Tony Aidoo, Dr. Nduom can only be taken seriously as a man of his words if he is able to disprove conflict of interest, tax evasion and fraud allegations leveled against him in the past.

Dr. Aidoo who was reacting to a challenge thrown to other presidential candidates by Dr Nduom to declare their taxes and sources of funding told XYZ News that Dr. Nduom must stop engaging in “’populism and sheer adventurism”.

“I hope he follows action to his words and therefore tells the tax payer that in 1995 when he was working as a consultant for the Public Enterprise Commission and was being paid a monthly salary and at the same working as a contractor to the same establishment, he was not engaged in conflict of interest.

“That he paid his taxes and that he did not misrepresent himself as an American citizen not susceptible to taxation by the Ghana government?.

“That when the SFO investigated the commission and his name popped up, he did not run to the American embassy and tell the American ambassador to write a letter to the SFO and the people of Ghana that he and his people are not Ghanaian and not subjected to the jurisdiction of Ghana” Dr. Tony Aidoo said.

According to Dr. Aidoo, “Dr. Nduom will have to convince us, and then we will know that we are dealing with a man of integrity, until he can do that he should stop the populism and the sheer adventurism.

“I have always said that Paa Kwesi Nduom is your typical political man of straw, he blows with the wind”.
