Aflao (V/R), April 28, GNA- The Togolese Security on Tuesday arrested Reverend Ampofo Twumasi-Ankrah of Repentant Church in Santa Maria, Accra for allegedly defrauding two brothers of 40 million cedis with a promise of securing them United States visas. The suspect had since been handed over to Ghanaian security personnel at Aflao.

Mr Baba Moro, Assistant Superintendent of Police in-charge of crime at Aflao told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that one Nana Agyeman Prempeh alleged that Rev. Twumasi-Ankrah early this year collected various sums of money totalling about 40 million cedis from him and his brother to secure US visas for them but he failed to do so.

Mr Moro said the suspect therefore, went into hiding but following a tip-off, the Prempeh brothers traced him to Lome where they raised an alarm for him to be arrested by the Togolese security personnel. Mr Moro said Rev. Twumasi-Ankrah who denied the allegation would be sent to Accra where the victims had lodged a complaint for further investigations.
