Together we can make things better – MCE

Mr. Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah Ponko, Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has reminded assembly members to work with zeal and help the people to have strong faith in the local governance system.

He said they must not lose sight of the reason they were voted to the assembly and that their priority should always be on bringing development to their communities.

He said the expectation was that they would provide the right leadership and also make useful contributions at the assembly’s meetings.

Mr. Yamoah Ponko, who was addressing an ordinary meeting of the Municipal Assembly at Ejisu, said they must stand together to bring change and transform the lives of the people.

He expressed satisfaction with the cooperation and mutual understanding among members of the assembly, which he said, had led to significant achievements such as the construction of educational structures, health and sanitation facilities.

He spoke of the need to sustain the momentum of the progress they were making, adding that “we should go the extra mile to provide developmental projects, social services and security to the people.”

Mr. Yamoah Ponko urged those who would be seeking re-election in the upcoming district level elections to conduct clean campaign and accept the outcome of the polls.
