Togbe Afede presents computers to traditional councils

Togbe Afede XIV, President of the Volta Region House of Chiefs on Friday presented computers and their accessories to all traditional councils in the region.
The councils are; Tepa, Likpe, Anlo, Ve, Santrokofi, Akpini, Nkonya, and Agbi.

The rest are Asogli, Peki, Buem, Awudome, Krachi, Hokpe and the Regional House of Chiefs.

In a speech read on his behalf, Togbe Afede said the computers were expected to enhance administrative work at the councils and promote chieftaincy in the region.

Checks by the Ghana News Agency indicate that a number of traditional councils in the Region were using typewriters with a few relying on services of commercial Business Centers for their services.

Ms Fedelia Cudjoe, a staff of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, on behalf of the recipients, commended Togbe Afede for the foresight and support.

In a related development, Togbe Afede donated two bales of clothes, three bags of rice and cash of GH?1,000.00 to victims of a fire disaster at Ative-Korfeyie in the Ketu-North District.

The fire reportedly razed down 34 thatched houses, but recorded no casualty.
