Togbe Afede Pledges GH¢260,000 to Spark Youth Innovation in Asogli

Togbe Afede XIV, the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, has reaffirmed his dedication to youth empowerment by committing a generous GH¢260,000 to support young entrepreneurs under the ASYE Innovation Grant.

The announcement was made at the Asogli Youth Empowerment Entrepreneurship Day held on Saturday in Ho, where vibrant young innovators gathered to present business ideas aimed at solving local challenges and creating sustainable livelihoods.

Addressing a crowd of hopeful finalists, Togbe Afede praised the creativity and courage of the youth, saying their ideas have the potential to spark meaningful change across the region.

“Our young people have ideas. What they often lack is the support and encouragement to bring those ideas to life,” he said. “This initiative is our way of saying: we believe in you, and we are ready to invest in your dreams.”

The GH¢260,000 funding commitment, channelled through the ASYE (Asogli Youth in Entrepreneurship) Innovation Grant, is expected to provide financial and technical backing to several promising ventures across the Asogli State.

Togbe Afede, a respected traditional leader and accomplished entrepreneur himself, urged other leaders both public and private to take bold steps in backing youth-led innovation.

“Empowering the youth isn’t charity, it’s an investment in our future,” he remarked.

Finalists of the entrepreneurship challenge will now receive mentorship and seed funding to help turn their business concepts into impactful realities, with the goal of building a stronger, self-reliant Asogli.
