Togbe Afede pledges co-operation with government

Ho, Jan. 13, GNA – Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia and President of the Asogli State has pledged the full cooperation of the Asogli State with government in “uniting the people of Ghana for the promotion of peace and development in tranquillity”.

This was contained in a congratulatory message to President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election as President for a second four-year term.

“I wish to warmly congratulate you and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on your victory in the December 7, 2004 Presidential and Parliamentary elections,” the message stated.

Togbe Afede said as stated during his enstoolment, his desire for unity “extends beyond the borders of the Asogli and Volta Region.

“We wish you God’s blessing and guidance in steering the affairs of the state in the next four years. May success and prosperity crown all your efforts,” the message concluded.
