Today is a public holiday

President John Agyekum Kufuor has by an Executive Instrument declared Monday, February 2 a public holiday.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior on Thursday and signed by the Interior Minister, Mr Hackman Owusu Agyeman said the day should be observed as such throughout the country.

The statement said Monday is declared a public holiday in view of the celebration of Eid-Ul-Adha which falls on Sunday, February 1.
