TMA donates to TTC towards homowo celebration

The Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) has presented some items to the Tema Traditional Council (TTC) towards the celebration of this year’s Homowo festival.

The items included 50 cartons of bottled water, 20 crates of soft drink, 20 crates of beer, three of cartons of schnapps, a cow and cash amount of GH¢ 7,000.

Mr Isaac Odamtten, Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive Officer, presenting the items, said the TTC has been a major stakeholder to the Assembly.

Mr Odamtten said the TMA believes in the traditions and culture of the people of Tema therefore the need to help them celebrate their annual festival.

He called on natives to cherish and preserve their culture by participating in the celebrations of the Homowo festival.

He gave the assurance that his outfit on behalf of government would continue to embark on development projects in the Metropolis.

The MCE added that projects under construction in the area would be completed as scheduled to enable residents to utilise them.

Nii Adjei Kraku I I, Paramount Chief of Tema, received the items on behalf of the TTC and thanked the Assembly for the gesture.

Nii Kraku gave the assurance that the TTC would continue to partner the TMA to develop the harbour city.
