Tipper Drivers at Kasoa gets new IMC

Kasoa, Sept 23, GNA- The Central Regional Chairman of the Progressive Transport Owners Association (PROTOA), Nana Yaw Fayah has called on tipper drivers to observe traffic regulations, to avert road accidents that takes a heavy toll on life and property.

He said there was a public perception, that tipper truck drivers are defiant and reckless and urged them carve a new image for themselves.

Nana Fayah made these remarks, when he inaugurated a five-member Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the PROTOA for the Kasoa- Odor Tipper Drivers Union at Kasoa on Wednesday.

He advised the drivers to be law abiding and desist from acts that will drag the name of the Association into disrepute. Nana Fayah urged the IMC to be accountable and transparent to ensure effective and efficient tenure of office.

He asked the members to promote peace and cordial relations with other transport associations.

Mr Wofa Kojo, Chairman of the IMC, pledged the commitment of members to promote the interest of the Association.

He said his administration would promote revenue generation to ensure progress and development.

Other members of the IMC are: Baba Yaw, Vice Chairman, Mohammed Ali, Secretary, Latif Alhansan, Treasurer, Yaw Abeyeni, Deputy Treasurer, Ato Osama, Station Master and Malam Yahayah, Chief Driver.
