A Tarkwa circuit court has adjourned the case of two students Seidu Musah 16, Samuel Oppong 18 and Kwabena Boaky 22, a driver, for using and in possession of Indian hemp weighting 1,258.00 grams without authority.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on April 10.
Prosecuting Police Detective, Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah, told the court presided over by Mr. Samuel Obeng Diawuo that on March 10, police personnel at Asankragwa had information that the accused persons and others now at large were dealing in Indian hemp.
Inspector Amponsah said when police got to the location the peddlers took to their heels but the three were arrested with some stuff.
Musah was found with one wrapper of Indian hemp in his pocket and he admitted the offense and said he went for the stuff to cure his toothache but the second and third accused persons denied their involvement.
He said the first accused stuff, weighted 0.3285 grams while the stuff found on the second and third accused also weighted 1,258.00 grams.**
