Susanna Adatsi, Beatrice Adobea Adama Mohammed and Mavis Kankani pleaded guilty.

Beatrice and Mavis were again sentenced to a two-year jail term on the second charge with Susana being convicted on the third charge with the sentences running concurrently.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Ben Dadzie told the court that the deceased expressed her desire to terminate her two-month-old pregnancy and contacted Beatrice in June.

Mavis brought Susanna describing her as a specialist in terminating pregnancies. Susanna administered some concoction to the deceased by douching it into her private part that aborted the foetus.

The deceased experienced severe abdominal pains afterwards and was taken to the Jasikan Hospital but died the following day that was July 5.

But before she died, she told the medical staff about the abortion.
