Three Students drown after anniversary parade

Winneba, March 07, GNA – Three students who went to swim at the Sir Charles Royal Beach in Winneba after attending the 48th independence parade at the Zion School got drowned.

They are Emmanuel Sackey, a 16-year-old JSS leaver from Winneba, Prince Adjetey, aged 17, a second year student of the National Vocational Training Institute in Accra and Prince Junior, SSS two student of the Winneba Senior Secondary.

Mr Nicholas Gasu, Winneba District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that body of Adjetey washed ashore on Monday morning and had been deposited at the Winneba Government Hospital for autopsy. He said the chief fisherman in the town has been informed to organize a search party to assist the police to look for the two other bodies.
