Three persons reported dead following violent clashes at Agbogbloshie

Violent clashes have erupted at the Agbogboloshie Yam Market in Accra, between some Konkombas and Dagombas over an alleged phone theft case.

A joint military and police team have been deployed to the scene and are trying to restore calm.

Three persons are reported dead following the clashes including a pregnant woman.

According to an eye witness account,the clashes started on Tuesday at dawn after a Konkomba allegedly stole a gas cylinder belonging a Dagomba.

He said an argument ensued between the Kokombas and the Dagombas in the midst of the accusation and degenerated into a fight.
