Three persons nabbed after robbing La City Phone

Accra, Oct. 12, GNA – Three persons who robbed the Labadi branch of City Phones on Wednesday are in the grips of the Police. They are Emmanuel Aryeh, 30, Kennedy Owusu, 30 and Rufia Salifu 19. Chief Superintendent of Police Mr Bright Oduro, Regional Crime Officer, told the press that about 1130 hours, two of the men visited City Phone Shop at Labadi under the pretext of purchasing phones, while one of them stood outside.

Chief Supt. Oduro said one of the men ordered the manager of the shop to hand over monies and phones.

He said the alarm was raised when they attempted to run away and they fired shots to scare people around. But that did not deter the public who apprehended them after a hot chase.

The Regional Crime Officer said two locally manufactured guns have been retrieved from them. The case is under investigations.
