Three perish in road accident at Anyaa

Three persons are reported dead following an accident on the Anyaa-Ablekuma road on Wednesday evening.

The accident occurred a few meters from the Anyaa market involving a trailer loaded with concretes and a taxi.

According to an eye witness, the trailer with registration number GT 1698-X reportedly had a break failure crashed the taxi into a speed ramp.

Two passengers on board the taxi according to the witness died on the spot.

One of the deceased had his head split open and his brains blown-out.

Driver of the truck and his mate are no where to be found. The registration number of the blue and yellow taxi cab could not be identified because of the damage.

Personnel from the police and Fire Service are currently at the scene to retrieve some of the bodies believed to be trapped.
