THREE PEOPLE ROBBED

Armed robbers attacked and robbed three people of their belonging last Saturday, 20 December, on the Accra-Tema Motorway. One of the victims, the Rev. George Amoah, is a student of the University of Ghana. Narating the incident to newsmen he said around 8.00pm that day, the vehicle they were travelling on developed an engine problem, on the Motorway. While they were attending to the fault, three armed men suddenly emerged from the bush and ransacked their belongings at gun-point. Rev. Amoah said his research materials and other documents were taken away, The Rev. Mr.. Amoah said, thieves and armed robbers have been operating at will on the motorway because of the virtual absence of street lights. The police are investigating the incident. gri
