Three people died in motor accident

Nkawkaw (E/R), Oct. 28, GNA – Three people travelling in a Daewoo Tico taxi cab with registration number ER 1219 Q, died on the spot when a sixty-seater Daewoo bus ran over the Tico in a head-on collusion at Nkawkaw on Monday.

One of the deceased was identified as Kwabena Agyapong, the driver of the Taxi cap while the two others were yet to be identified. The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Kwahu Government Hospital at Atibie.

About 20 other passengers in the Daewoo bus who sustained various degrees of injures were treated and discharged at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital.

According to an eyewitness, the driver of the Daewoo bus with registration number AS 6838 R travelling from Kumasi over took a vehicle in front and had a headlong collusion with the taxicab.

The Nkawkaw Police and personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service personnel had to use a tractor to lift the bus from the taxicab before they could remove the mutilated bodies of the deceased persons.
