Three people die and several got injured in two separate accidents

Koforidua, Dec 22, GNA – Three persons died in the early hours of Monday in two separate accidents that occurred at Jejeti and Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region respectively. According to the Eastern Regional Motor Traffic and Transport Unit of the Ghana Police Service Commander, Mr James Safo Peprah, both deaths occurred as result of the drivers’ inability to observe traffic regulatio= ns.

He said around 0300 hours on Monday, Kwabena Adu who was driving a Neoplan bus from Kumasi to Accra, ignored a traffic sign at Jejeti. He drove into a broken down truck and killed Seidu and one other person and landed in a nearby house. In the second accident, the driver who is now deceased was driving a bus from Accra to Nkawkaw and on reaching Nkawkaw he entered the opposite lane and hit an oncoming Mercedes Benz cargo truck. The bus somersaulted several times and run into another cargo truck.
