President Kufuor has on the advice of the Ghana Armed Forces Council has approved the promotion of three officers of the Ghana Armed Forces. The Chief of Defence staff, Major General Seth Obeng has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Army Commander Brigadier Yaache has moved up to the rank of Major General while the Chief of Air Staff, Air Commodore E. A .Mante also gains promotion to the rank of Air Vice-Marshall.
