Three Die In Motorway Car Accident

Tema, Sept. 2, – Three persons died on the spot and 17 others were injured when the passenger bus on which they were travelling was involved in an accident on the Tema motorway today. The dead, who have been deposited at the Tema General Hospital mortuary, are yet to be identified. The injured were rushed to the Tema General hospital where four of them with serious injuries were admitted. The rest were treated and discharged. Speaking to the GNA, Chief Inspector Samuel Anning, Officer in charge of the Ashaiman Motor Traffic Unit said the trotro bus was travelling from Kaneshie to Tema when it burst the right rear tyre, sommersaulted and plunged into a gutter in the middle of the dual carriageway.
