Ada, March 2, GNA – Three persons died on the spot when an urvan bus with registration number GR 1264T collided with a Benz bus with registration number GR7215R at the Ada Sogakope road on Saturday.
According to an eye witness account the Benz bus had on board members of the Pentecost Church, Adenta Central who were travelling to attend a funeral at Agbozome, in the Volta Region whiles the urvan bus was heading towards Accra.
The witness said the front tyre of the Benz bus, which was at a top speed burst, and the driver lost control of the steering wheel and veered from its lane leading to the collision.
All passengers in both vehicles sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to the Tema General Hospital while the bodies of the deceased, all males, have been deposited at the Mortuary. Both vehicles were however damaged beyond repairs.
