The Eastern Regional Minister, Ms Helen Adwoa Ntoso has sworn into office three District Chief Executives (DCEs) at a ceremony in Koforidua.
They are Mr Windham Afram,( Kwahu Afram Plains North), Mr Joseph Omari Sasu, (Kwahu South) and Alhaji Abass Sbaabe, (Fanteakwa).
Ms Ntoso told them to learn from the challenges of their colleagues who had been in office much longer, and pleaded with them not to have friction with anybody that would tend to undermine government’s efforts.
She urged them to operate an open door policy so that other people can come to them and offer suggestions that will help move their respective districts forward.
Ms Ntoso urged the DCEs to ensure that good polices were implemented so that the government could achieve the Better Ghana Agenda, promised during the electioneering campaign in 2012.
She also asked them to spread resources to benefit all, since they want positive change in the interest of all Ghanaians.
The Regional Minister gave the assurance that a lot of development projects were going to take place in the region, and said they include the construction of roads, school buildings, clinics, and many more, and urged the DCEs to be ambassadors of those good things from the government.
Mr Omari, on behalf of his colleagues, thanked President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence reposed in them and pledged their support to continue with the “Better Ghana Agenda.”
He pledged to work hard to bring development to the people.
