Goaso (B/A), May 7, GNA – Three more nominees in the Brong-Ahafo Region have been confirmed as chief executives. They are Mr. Mohammed Kwaku Doku, 48, for Asunafo North Municipality, Mr. Mr. Fleance Danso, for Asunafo South District and Mr. Eric Addae, 45, for Asutifi District. Mr. Doku, Executive Director of Centre for the Empowerment of the Vulnerable (CEV), a Sunyani-based NGO, polled 37 out of 38 valid votes cast at Goaso, while Mr. Danso, a teacher scooped all the 31 valid votes at Kukuom.
Mr. Addae, an Executive Director of Guards of the Earth of Vulnerable, an NGO based at Kenyase, had 59 of the 60 valid votes cast. The three chief executives expressed their gratitude to members of their assemblies and called for unity among the people to ensure rapid development.
Mr. Doku said: “If we are to see any meaningful progress we must be prepared to put behind us petty squabbles that divided our ranks in the past and forge ahead in unity to accelerate development”. Mr. Addae called for co-operation between the staff of the assembly and other corporate bodies to enable his administration to achieve set development targets. They thanked President Mills for the honour done to them and expressed their readiness to help execute government development agenda in their respective areas.
