Three arrested for attempting to drug teenage girls

Three young men have been arrested for attempting to drug some teenage girls near the Bosomtwi Sam fishing harbor at Sekondi in the Western region.

The suspects, Nana Kobina, 20, Evans Nkrumah, 21, and Frederick Okyere,20, were arrested following the vigilance of the Chief fisherman of the harbor, Nana Kong Essoun and his colleagues.

According to Starr News’ Emmanuel Ohene Gyan, alarm was raised by the fishermen while the suspects were attempting to serve their teenage victims with an aphrodisiac laced drink at a nearby drinking spot on Saturday. One of them, Nana Kobina, who is a teacher with the Ideal College SHS in Takoradi confessed to the crime in an interview with Ohene Gyan.

He, however, said he was compelled to mix the drink with the substance by his two accomplices.

The Sekondi Harbor Police Command has commenced investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, the ladies who were visibly shocked by the development told Ohene Gyan that they were only invited out for a drink by one of the suspects whom they have known for quite some time now.
