Three accident victims referred to Korle Bu

Dr Edwin Danoo, Medical Superintendent of the Hohoe Government Hospital, said on Monday that three out of the 30 injured members of the Madina E.P. Church, Ghana on admission following the Akpafu-Todzi motor accident last Saturday have been transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

They are Comfort Fayorsey, Sophia Tamakloe, and Gladys Akwettey. Dr Danoo told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that four other injured persons have been released to their relatives upon their request to continue treatment in Accra. They are Felix Setordzi, Forster Kwashie, Sophia Ladzekpo-Adadevoh and Henry Gameli.

The Police have retrieved the 38-seater accident Bus with registration number GT 7958 F, which veered off the road between Akpafu-Todzi and Akpafu-Mempeasem and hit an embankment while negotiating a curve. Fourteen people died in the accident.

Dr Danoo said the rest of the victims on admission were responding to treatment.
