The ANNUAL UK GRAND HOMOWO CELEBRATIONS has reached its 3rd year and is proving to be THE HOMOWO EVENT to be seen at. The organizers in association with Ghana High Commission to the UK & Ireland and Ghana Union UK, would like to welcome the general public to this year’s Festival.
Last year showcased the La Homowo tradition with the La Kpee Association UK playing a major support role to the event in their stunning traditional uniform. A video was produced of the event that is available for purchase.
The event is to be held on 21st September 2013 from 3pm, at the TOTTENHAM GREEN LEISURE CENTRE, 1 PHILIP LANE, LONDON, N15 4JA and is to be attended by His Excellency Professor Danso Boafo, Ghana High Commissioner to the UK, Mantsemei, Elders, Wulomei from GaDangme, and Nananom UK will also be in attendance as well as other key dignitaries from Ghana, UK, Italy, and elsewhere.
The organizing Associations are gearing up to welcome and honour four students from ST THOMAS AQUINAS SECONDARY SCHOOL, ACCRA who were the winners of Ghana’s National ‘What do you know’ quiz competition.
Live music will be provided by Adani Best, King David and Dr Slim of ‘Ole seke ni woye’ fame. There will be DJ’s on the night with plenty to eat and drinks on offer at the bar.
Obonu FM, GTV’s Asenta Oba Show, Hot Digital Radio Bo Oba Show, Gadangme Radio, Voice of Africa Logoligi Show, Naspa Radio, Multi TV-Adom TV Adehye Programme and many more will be on hand to cover the event live.
The organizing Associations are La Kpee, Bishop T Ga Club, Ngleshie Kpee, Gadangme Nikasemo Asafo with support from Sempe Kpee and GaDangme Foundation.

The UK JOINT HOMOWO ORGANISING COMMITTEE is made up of the four main Sponsoring Gadangme Groups: Gadangme Nikasem? Asafo, Laa Kpee, Bishop T Ga Club, ?leshie Kpee. It was set up to oversee the Homowo Celebrations and is chaired by Queen Naa Tsotsoo Soyoo I.
