Thieves steal NHIS equipment in Bolgatanga

Bolgatanga, July 19, GNA – Thieves have burgled the Bolgatanga Municipal Office of the National Health Insurance Scheme bringing the activities of the Scheme in the area to a virtual standstill.

The thieves took away a photocopier; digital camera; desktop publisher; laser jet printer; landline phone receiver and curtains. The Assistant Municipal NHIS Manager, Mr Roland Ayine, who spoke to the GNA, said the Municipal Assembly and some non-governmental organisations donated the items.

“This has affected over work and we cannot go on as fast as we did before”, he said.

All that Police said was that two watchmen had been given bail, while investigations continued. 19 July 05
