Thieves break into Young Heart Foundation office

Thieves have broken into the Madina office of Young Heart Foundation (YHF), a non- governmental organisation established to support orphans, widows, girl child education, people living with HIV and AIDS and the less privileged in society.

Mr Desmond Bress-Biney, Programmes Co-ordinator of YHF confirmed the incident to Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra on Tuesday during an interview.

He said the incident which happened over the weekend saw the thieves taking away eight laptops, one Samsung tablet, three video recorders, YHF’s central machine containing all documents, back-ups and other hard copies.

The thieves also made away with GH¢ 28,000.00 and $ 8,600 dollars as well as 14,300 Euros.

He said the matter had since been reported to the Madina Police Divisional Command.

When the GNA contacted Detective Inspector Anganchab Kofi Begum, District Crime Officer of the Madina Police Divisional command, confirmed that the case has been reported to his outfit and investigations are ongoing.
