Thieves are tormenting workers in Apam

Apam, July 9, GNA – The police at Apam are searching for thieves who raided the residence of two female whilst they were at work last Monday.

Miss Linda Adoboe and Miss Helena Buckman had their rooms and kitchen broken into and the thieves took away personal effects belonging to Linda valued at almost 2,000 Ghana cedis and a bowl of palm soup Helena had prepared and a gas cylinder. Linda lost a 21-inch television, a video deck, micro waive, a home theatre, electric iron and a suit case containing clothes and other valuables.

Miss Buckman told the GNA at Apam on Tuesday that was the second time, within one month, that thieves had broken into the house and that some people also suffered a similar fate while they were at work. She appealed to the police to step up their patrol duties when people are at work and that people should report suspicious characters to the police as well as people who are not traders but are found selling things at reduced prices. 09 July 09
