There’s an agenda to defame me – Nyantakyi

Ghana FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has told the Presidential Commission of Enquiry that he suspects there could be a plot within the local media to defame him and make his administration of the FA unpopular.

The CAF Executive Committee member has come under a lot of flak following the Black Stars’ woeful display at the 2014 World Cup and off the field incidents that plagued the team’s campaign in Brazil.

Some sports journalists have openly lashed out at Nyantakyi, labelling him as a Black Stars FA Boss and criticising him of misappropriation of funds meant for the Black Stars and using the senior national team as a money making venture.

“It could be two things; either an agenda outside the media that has been sold to the media and they have accepted it, or maybe within the media establishment, it’s an agenda that has been set there. So both way, it can be seen as an agenda, where it is a campaign and everyday it continues and the same people are doing. Even when you do something good, they cannot acknowledge it.

“It’s not a good job and I think we should take a look at it,” Nyantakyi said.
