There were no road accidents on Dec.7 in W/R

Takoradi Dec.11, GNA – There were no road accidents or clashes on the day of the election in the Western Region, Mr. Thomas Bismark Boakye, Regional Coordinator of the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC), said on Monday. “Not a single road accident was recorded from December 4 to December 7 in the Region,” he said during an interaction with a section of the media at Takoradi.

Mr Boakye said this achievement was due to road safety education mounted by the commission in the run up to the elections. He said the commission has started monitoring the driving culture of drivers as Christmas is approaching. Mr Boakye said the Motor Traffic Transport Unit (MTTU) and other security agencies are also mounting snap checks. 11 Dec. 08
