There is none to trust in politics – Murtala sympathises with Anta

Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Murtala Mohammed, has said the alleged secret recording of former Tamale MCE, Amin Anta is an indication that “none can be trusted in this business of politics”.

His comment comes on the back of the seeming culture of secret recordings creeping into the opposition New Patriotic Party.

According to Murtala, the practice is shameful and must not be condoned.

“Is unfortunate such could happen to Muhammed Amin Anta. I guess is a warning to all of us that there are none again to trust in this business called politics. Is a shame,” the deputy minister wrote on his Facebook on Tuesday.

Anta is heard on a leaked tape claiming that the two-time flagbearer of the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo gave him $5000 to declare support for his candidature in the party’s flagbearer elections.

He has subsequently explained that he was not given the money to buy his support as is being suggested.
