There Is No Crisis: Ghana Is On Course

Press Secretary to the President, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has described the seeming crisis in the ruling party and the perceived loss of popularity of President Kufuor to an elaborate scheme of propaganda orchestrated by a small but dedicated group of political opponents with a lot of time on their hands.

“This same group of people send text messages to radio stations painting a picture of doom and gloom.” Speaking on TV’s current affairs programme, “Gabby’s Airtime”, to be screened on Monday, Mr. Agyepong said everything pointed to the fact that Government was on course to deliver on its promise of a humane, prosperous and unified country.

While admitting that the first hundred days of President Kufuor’s second term has suffered a bit of a “hiccup”, Mr. Agyepong says the New Patriotic Party is determined to pursue the policies that would serve the long term interest of the nation.
