The youth advised against sexual promiscuity

Mankranso (Ash), June 18, GNA – Mr Antwi Kusi, Assistant Chief Environmental Officer of Ahafo Ano South District has called on the people in the area, especially the youth, to stop sexual promiscuity so as to stem the spread of AIDS.

He said AIDS is real and many, who take it for granted and engage unprotected sex, stand the risk of contracting the HIV.

Mr Kusi, who was addressing a public education rally on AIDS at Mankranso, said AIDS/HIV is also spread by coming into contact with infected blood through injections with contaminated needles and syringes, used razor blades or blood transfusion.

He, however, said people who have HIV/AIDS need not to be shunned or avoided.
