The Pleasant Place opens new branch

The Pleasant Place, formerly Sheepfold Chapel is to construct a hospital and a university to cater for the health and educational needs of the poor and the needy in the society.

The projects which would be financed through voluntary contributions and fundraising activities, is expected to be completed by 2020.

Bishop Gideon Titi-Ofei, General Overseer, made this known at the opening of a new branch of the church at the World Trade Centre in Accra on Sunday.

This brings to 15, the number of branches so far opened including one in Nigeria and the other in the United Kingdom.

Bishop Titi-Ofei said it is the policy of the church to ensure that the word of God gets to every corner of the country.

He said the Pleasant Place has set up a foundation which is offering financial assistance to pastors working in the remote areas of the Northern Region.

The General Overseer was of hope that such assistance would be extended to the other regions as the church continue to grow.

He appealed to the youth to desist from the get-rich-quick attitude and work towards national development.

Bishop Titi-Ofei urged religious leaders to refrain from all forms of negative tendencies that may bring the clergy into disrepute.
