The Maternal Health Channel airs 11th show

Maternal Health Channel (MHC) GTV Thursday May 9 8pm TV3 Friday May 10 8.30pm

This week, the Maternal Health Channel continues its journey to Kute Buem after an impromptu but revealing stop at the Bodada Health Centre near Jasikan. In this remote town on the Ghana–Togo border, where there are no telecom signal, and the dirt roads are broken in several parts, the film crew comes face to face with a health post possessed with the barest of facilities and services.

MHC talks to the only nurse at post and takes the lid off maternal health care in a forgotten part of Ghana. The studio discussion engages the DCE and an NGO worker who has been working tirelessly to save lives in the district. They have memorable stories to tell. What is to be done to improve maternal health care services in rural areas where most Ghanaians live, is the critical question this programme seeks to answer.
