The Lambussie Kuoro is dead

The Chief of Lanbusie and President of the Lambussie Traditional Council in the Upper West Region, Kuoro Kontonbie Yesseh, has been reported dead.

The late Kuoro Yesseh who was enskinned as the Paramount Chief of Lambussie on April 19, 2011, is said to have died on June 1, 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after a short illness.

He was 76 years.

A six man delegation from the Boonbelle of Yakah Family led by Anthony Baloro called on the Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Sulemana in Wa to inform him of the sudden death of Kuoro Yesseh.

They announced that the mortal remains of the late chief would be transported to Lambussie on June 8 for burial after Moslem prayers.

Alhaji Sulemana expressed shock on receiving news about the death of Kuoro Yesseh and said his passing had not only created a vacuum in the family and the Traditional Council, but the entire nation.**
