The Guide

The Guide reports its front page that the NDC chief whip in parliament, Mr. Doe Adjaho, is to lose his position as the party’s chief whip. According to the paper, the decision of the party to change Mr. Adjaho follows protest by the NDC MPs against fielding predominantly Ewes at the party’s front bench in Parliament following the removal of Mr. J.H. Owusu- Acheampong, the out-going Majority Leader. The Guide says with the removal of Mr. Owusu- Acheampong, the front bench would have been Dr. Kwabena Adjei, Majority Leader, Ewe, Mr. Kenneth Dzirasah, first deputy Speaker, Ewe, with Mr. M.A. Seidu, Deputy Majority Leader a Northerner.
