“Top NDC man in 185mC deal… He fails to account for sale of campaign watches and other souvenirs”, is the main story on the front page of the Guide. The story says Mr J.W. Agyekum, national organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in deep trouble. Powerful forces within the NDC are gunning for his neck for allegedly squandering about 84,000 US dollars (185mC) belonging to the party. According to the Guide, Mr Agyekum was given the money to enable him to contract a South African business firm to supply the NDC with a quantity of campaign watches and other souvenirs but somewhere along the line, the national organiser allegedly messed up with the project.
