THE GHANAIAN VOICE

The Voice, on its front page reports that the Parish priest of St. Peter’s Anglican Church at Kumawu in Ashanti, Archdeacon Bodu Boateng, ‘cooly’ spent 806,000 out of 5,931,275 cedis realised at a harvest which was left in his care. The Voice says when the misappropriation came to light and some church members confronted him, Archdeacon Boateng admitted having taken the money and said he used it to buy a car engine to replace the one in his vehicle which had broken down/. The priest however, was unable to produce either a receipt or his old engine as demanded and for this reason the executive body of the Men’s Fellowship of the church are demanding his immediate transfer from Kumawu.
