The Ghanaian Chronicle

The Ghanaian Chronicle in a front page story headlined: “Akwasi Agyeman: I’ll sack opposition MPs if…”., reports the Kumasi metropolitan chief executive, Nana Akwasi Agyeman as warning opposition MPs in Kumasi who are ex-officio members of the Kumasi Metropoitan Assembly (KMA) that he has the right to sack them if they misbehave. According to the paper, Nana Akwasi Agyeman claimed that only God and President Jerry Rawlings can remove him from office as KMA boss. The metropolitan chief executive who was speaking at the inauguration of the 84-member assembly in Kumasi, is reported as saying that any assemblyman who dares challenge him should procure his own bulldozers and tipper trucks for the development of his area.
