The Chronicle Polls for the NPP candidates

KUFUOR is slipping in his lead. Nana is closing in. J.H. is fading. Apraku is coming on strong. A landslide is still possible in NPP’s congress next week. Should the Press just report the rhetorics from the campaign grounds? Speculate as to the possible winners or should we analyse and recommend candidates?

Does the press have a duty to remind the public of Akufo-Addo’s pecadillos along with his valiance and professional brilliance, Kufuor’s anti -free press posturing – threatening to sack Graphic editor and maintain criminal libel in our statute books if he wins plus his attributes as Mr. Nice Guy with a powerful physical presence? Do we analyse Kufour’s financial challenges, JH Mensah’s lack of organisation and unpopularity with the MPs he leads in Parliament, Apraku’s refreshing youthfulness and energy, Malik Alhassan’s perception as a dark horse?

On Monday, The Ghanaian Chronicle will look at what kind of leader the NPP MUST elect. We will have a scoring chart on morality, integrity, courage, achievement, resourcefulness, stamina, experience and pick a candidate based on our scoring. You may phone in between now and 6.00pm or better fax in with verifiable name and reachable telephone number for your own personal ratings on a scale of 1 – 10 on each of the listed qualities.
