Takoradi April 28, GNA – The Textiles Department of the Takoradi Polytechnic has honoured three senior staff members and seven hard working students at an awards night held at the school.
The staff members who received the awards were Reverend Professor Daniel Nyarko, Rector, Mr Norbet Adjei, Industrial Liaison Officer and Mr E.R.K. Appiah, Dean, School of Applied Arts. They were presented with parcels and citations for their meritorious service to the Department. Ms Etsie Yesutor Degadzor, the overall best textile student and six others, two from each year group, were presented with gifts and cash awards. They include Sarfo Kofi Derrick, Dziwornu Henrietta, Mohammed Abdul Somed, Bernice Pinto, Ampadu Joseph and Agyemang-Gyawu Isaac. Mr Joseph Sackey, Dean of Degree Programmes, who presided, advised students to take their studies seriously and make maximum use of the opportunities they have as students of the polytechnic. 28 April 10
