TESCON makes case for Henrietta Eyison as Deputy Education Minister

The leadership of the Tertiary Students Confederation of the NPP in KNUST has asked President Nana Akufo-Addo not to look beyond Mrs. Henrietta Mary Eyison for the position of Deputy Minister of Education.

A statement signed by the group’s President Enoch Amoako Gyimah and General Secretary Emmanuel Asare has been touting her as the best person for the position. Described as a mother for all, Mrs. Eyison, the TESCON-KNUST said “knows no boundaries or limits when it comes to making sure that the right is done in society and in our individual lives.

Indeed, she has been a teacher, a mentor, an inspiration as well as a great help to most of us and the entire NPP fraternity on the campus of KNUST and beyond.”

The statement also mentioned that she was very instrumental in spreading the message of the New Patriotic Party, which it believed contributed to the victory of the party in the last month’s general elections. She has been a patron for TESCON-KNUST for almost ten(10) years and a founding member of the NPP Frontliners in KNUST.

“We therefore want to make a humble appeal to Mr. President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to consider HENRIETTA MARY EYISON(MRS) for the position of Deputy Education Minister in his noble administration. This we believe would go a long way to strengthen our educational sector and also save it from the near-collapse…” the group appealed.
