Finance Minister Seth Terkper is still at post, contrary to media reports that he has been relieved of his position by President John Mahama, StarrFMonline.com can confirm.
Reports are rife that Mr. Terkper has been dismissed by the President for poor performance.
Some minority members of parliament also made comments Wednesday suggesting that Mr Terkper has been fired by the President.
But Chief of Staff Julius Debrah told StarrFMonline.com exclusively that the finance minister is at post and still in charge of the purse of the state.
President Mahama has, on numerous occasions, reposed confidence in the finance minister when calls for his dismissal heightened as the local currency, the Cedi, depreciated.
